Vibrant nightlife access right below your room.
Unbearable noise from the nightclub kept me awake all night.

This pleasant and lively hotel was in very central location to the local church. And it was also right by restaurants and bars, the town centre and the center of town. I used wake up service and ironing, it's free too.

I was travelling alone for a much needed rest, everyone at the hotel made me feel relaxed and all very very helpful and friendly. I even stayed on for a further 2 nights, Cannot wait to return

Very cute little town, hotel is currently being renovated, good location
No parking space on site and poor description of how to get to a parking space. Hotel room with old carpeting (musty), window is quite old and could not be closed (drunk people in front of the hotel until late at night)

Couple's special getaway
We celebrated my husband's birthday there and the staff couldn't do enough for us, really were really good. The room was clean and comfy, and we even borrowed chargers without fuss, like it was no trouble at all.
It wasn't cheap, but you know, for the service we got, I would say it was still reasonable.

The decor and position in the town centre. The staff were welcomong and the hotel took note of the request for a quiet room and provided one.
The breakfast service was slow and the room that the breakfast was served in was very noisy (you could not easily have a conversation across the table because the radio was very very loud and the staff could not turn it down). Sound in the breakfast room also echoed and so, even when during quiet moments from the radio, other peoples conversations and children playing reverberated around the room. Not a nice Sunday morning breakfast experience. Plus, simple things like fruit juices and cereals did not seem to be available - the choice seemed to be one selection from a menu.

The bed bed and location were the best points of this hotel . We were visiting Hertford for a birthday celebration and the hotel was ideally located and we needed a comfortable bed after the party and we got it.
There were a few minor niggles. The restaurant staff seemed stretched delaying service. The room had rattling windows on perhaps the windyest day of the year. Worst of all was the music which went on until the early hours and was audible on the 3rd floor.

Wonderful building
Their internet was out and the staff had no idea how to check or what to do. They just keep insisting it should work... Great hotel physically but when you are inside the room, you realize no one has thought room layout from a business person's needs. I was taking a personla day but I am still a businessman and need to do work and have internet access...

The room was lovely with tall ceilings, and I loved the vibrant bar and stylish decor. The Sunday lunch was the best I've had outside of London!

It was a decent option for a weekend outing in Hertford with good value for the money. The staff were really friendly, even tidying up my belongings when I left the room messy. Try to book breakfast in advance to avoid a long wait.
